Suzette Higgs
A native of Southwestern Michigan, Suzette is a graduate of Coloma High School. Building on a strong family and work background, she obtained her real estate license in 2007. Off to a quick start, Suzette received the Silver Award in 2009 for sales in excess of $1,500,000.
When not working, Suzette enjoys time with family - husband Bob, children Rachel and Brent, and granddaughter Alivia.
The family takes advantage of one of our most prized assets in Michigan’s Great Southwest, Lake Michigan. They also enjoy our abundant fruit producing industry - apples, cherries, peaches, and especially blueberries. Suzette spent much of her youth on her Great Uncle Joe’s Blueberry Farm, one of the oldest in Southwestern Michigan, and now enjoys sharing blueberry U-Pick memories with Alivia for the fifth generation.
Real estate sales has been a natural career expansion, building on Suzette’s other work experiences:
- Medical insurance biller for the same doctor for the last 20 years, demonstrating attention to detail, accuracy, confidentiality, and loyalty.
- Office manager for IKON Builders and Concrete, her husband’s business, since 1994, building knowledge of the construction industry.
- Property investor for the last 6 years, developing skills in renovation and “flipping”.
Suzette is a member of the Lake Michigan Beach Property Owners Association which provides private, deeded access to a small community in Hagar Township known as Lake Michigan Beach. Her knowledge of the Lake Michigan Beach area has led her to specialize in second homes and cottages for many out-of-town clients.
